"Exploring My Italian Heritage:

Family & Love During Lockdown"

Hey there! I'm Marguerite Tagliaferro Driscoll, and welcome to my blog where I share the incredible adventure of exploring my Italian genealogy during the Covid lockdown. As my mother often said, something good comes out of something bad. Initially aware of only my 1st cousins, my research expanded, connecting me with over 60 Italian relatives both in the US and Italy.

During the Covid lockdown, I dove into exploring my father's Italian roots. My journey into Italian genealogy was a delightful surprise, uncovering my hidden talent for digging into family history. I started compiling a family booklet with over 200 photos showcasing the intelligence and beauty of the women and the humor and charm of the men.

Initially aware of only my 1st cousins, my research expanded, connecting me with over 60 Italian relatives both in the US and Italy. Connecting with them, whether online or in person, has been nothing short of a magical adventure.

So, guess what? I hopped on a plane to Italy to meet these wonderful relatives, turning a legendary mother-daughter trip into an extraordinary escapade. I fell head over heels in love not just with them but also with the breathtaking landscapes of Italy, especially the dreamy Amalfi Coast, just a stone’s throw away from our family roots in Tramonti.

And voila! That’s how my blog was born, and what else could I name it but “Falling In Love With Italy”? I promise you, it’s the most beautiful place on earth, but it’s not just a place: it’s a vibe, and it’s both inspirational and drop-dead gorgeous. I can’t wait to share the heartwarming stories of my Italian family with you. Welcome to the charm-filled world of Falling In Love With Italy!

Ciao for now, Marguerite
