Tramonti Unveiled: A Family Legacy
Nestled amidst the Amalfi Coast, Tramonti is more than just a picturesque Italian village; it's the cradle of the Tagliafierro family history. This charming town, with its rolling hills and ancient architecture, is where the Tagliafierro story began, and each cobblestone whispers tales of generations past. One of the most amazing things about my visit here was to see the home of my great grandfather, Francesco, as well as the homes of his cousins from the 1860’s. My cousins who live there now have amazing balconies to enjoy the spectacular view, a rolling landscape that exudes tranquility and a connection to the earth that runs deep in our Tagliafierro roots. My cousins also take pride in their gardens with fruits and vegetables like you’ve never tasted before. I wish my great grandfather’s home was still in the family, but it was sold to a butcher years ago. Yet, seeing it gave me chills. Shhh! I think one of my cousins is thinking of buying it back!!

August in Tramonti is a time of jubilation, a period when the town comes alive with vibrant festivities. My family eagerly anticipates this month-long celebration, marked by traditional food and pizza, lively music, and the warmth of relatives and locals reuniting together back in our ancestral home. It's not just a reunion; it's a heartfelt embrace of our heritage. Stroll through the vineyards and gardens, breathe in the fresh air, and let the beauty of Tramonti infuse your soul with a sense of belonging.

Also, don’t expect great phone reception while you are there. It’s time to totally relax and detach, so turn your phone off.
